We are so pleased to have partnership with the former Humane Society, now titled “Humane World for Animals”.
The main thrust of our property is for the welfare of native animals, rehabilitation and habitat gardens.
Our accommodation …
Nestled in the outskirts of Mittagong, embraced by mature gardens both introduced and native. Our facility totally funds native animal projects.
The environment here (the grounds) are a functioning example of how we can coexist with our native animals and we do our best to do so.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At our Elstead facility we boast of resident owls, night jars, hawks, reptiles (which includes snakes in the dense gardens away from the accommodation), native hens, small wrens, wombats, wallabies and kangaroos, kookaburras and bower birds … just to name a few.
For this reason, visiting dogs and cats are NOT allowed on the premises.

What Accommodation Facilities do you have?
We have a studio apartment available for accommodation from short term stays at $200 per person per night and long-term (per week) $900 per week.

How Do we pay?
Payment to be made upfront, deposited via the Donations section.

What standard is the accommodation?
Accommodation is rustic and eclectic but spacious, clean and comfortable with futon style bedsitters.
The bedsitters are transferable, so the gallery can turn into a space to be utilised by many people rather than just accommodation.
The apartment has new amenities … bathroom, toilet facilities and kitchenette, and Air conditioning.
Four bed, sitters and other blowup mattresses and extra bedding. Effectively a decent bed for four people.
There is a linen press with clean linen to use for each guest.
Are meals available?
We provide a continental breakfast which is milk, tea bags bread for toast etc.
Can we use the garden?
Yes! The gardens are there to enjoy except behind the privacy notices.
Can we have a function?
Small functions are welcome of approximately 30 people maximum but multiple parking must be offsite on the footpath (with ample room) for that number of guests to park.
