Why are we demolishing homes during a housing crisis?
This TEDTalk is very insightful but very obvious. Many old homes have been built to last all they need a clever Builder to be creative about restoration.
In the CBD of many villages and towns even in cities there are empty shops that could easily be converted into flats. We are wasting precious space by building endless urban sprawl where people could be comfortably accommodated within the city environment.
We could leave our beautiful backyards as natural spaces for people to be in touch with the natural world.
